Children's Ministry

Prep School

Berachah Church's Prep School department is made up of classes for all age groups, from children aged 2 years old to teenagers entering high school. The goal of the curriculum is to teach children the basics of the Christian way of life and arm them with the knowledge that is needed to grow spiritually. Bible Character Theatre

Heaven forbid that we bore our children with the teaching of Bible doctrine

The overarching goal of Berachah's Bible Character Theatre (BCT) is to stimulate the thinking of our prep schoolers as they learn about Jesus Christ. Beyond teaching Bible doctrine, each Bible character's story is focused on how the principles and promises the children learn can be used to protect and encourage them as they face the evils of America's decaying culture.

The theatre productions dovetail with the doctrinal teaching Berachah's children receive in our Prep School to further enhance their understanding of the Person of Jesus Christ. The productions are visually stimulating, and use humor and music to keep the children engaged. These productions are dedicated to America's future pivot and to sustaining our Client Nation.

This Man, the Son of God focuses on the events leading up to and including the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The story is told from the perspective of four Bible characters: Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus; John, one of His disciples; Caiaphas, the High Priest, and a Roman soldier. The primary scriptural reference is John 11:25—"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live even if he dies."

The Fourth Man

The Fourth Man tells of God's promise, "I am with you always," coming to light in the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These young believers were faced with the difficult choice of forsaking God or being condemned to certain death. Applying the Bible doctrine stored in their souls, they chose to trust the Lord for deliverance and held fast in their faith. The events of The Fourth Man remind us that God can deliver us through persecution, a situation in which some young believers may soon find themselves. Scriptural references include Isaiah 41:10—"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" and Exodus 14:13a—"Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today."

Joseph, a Man of Faith-Rest shows how one young believer patiently waited on God's timing to meet all his needs in life. Whether being sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, or being falsely imprisoned for a crime he did not commit, Joseph faith-rested in the Lord's plan for his life, and was later richly rewarded. This story reminds young believers of the importance of relying on God, and how he is able to turn the trials of adversity into the heights of prosperity. Scriptural references include Jeremiah 29:11—"For I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" and Psalm 27:14—"Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord."

David, a Man After God's Own Heart

David, A Man After God's Own Heart emphasizes the importance of Bible doctrine in the life of the believer. We know that "As a man thinks in his soul, so he is," and this is what made David a man after God's own heart. The primary scriptural reference is Romans 8:28—"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

The Witnesses tells the story of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. The eye-witness evidence experienced at the tomb by the disciples and followers is contrasted with the faith perception that believers in the Church Age use to understand and know the Word of God.

Puppet Show Bible Ministry

Berachah's puppet ministry is a branch of the Bible Character Theatre Department. Puppets excite the imagination and are a creative teaching tool for the "peewee pivot" teaching the basics of Bible doctrine on a level they can understand using circumstances they can relate to. Puppet show performances are held every 4-6 weeks, written for children but enjoyed by believers of all ages.
